Anthroposophy (noun) - See, Kelly, I told you this would be the WOD today... I stumbled upon this one yesterday... Anthroposophy is a religious system that started up in the 20th century, around 1916, centering on human development, getting its roots in theosophy. Yeah, theosophy is teaching about God and the world, but basing the teaching on mystical insight. (I couldn't get an etymology on anthroposophy (hey, 1916), but theosophy comes from Medieval Latin theosophia.)
Word in a Sentence: In Sandy Lender's novel Choices Meant for Gods, anthroposophy doesn't completely apply because the society is a polytheistic one that centers on the gods' development moreso than man's. (yeah, I stretched)
Your turn! You'll have to stretch, too. But I bet you're up to it! This assignment can't be as difficult as the Writers Guide one I gave you above...
"Some days, I just want the dragon to win."

1 Comments:
Anthroposophy is NOT a religious system. The whole point of it is that it is not religious.
