Swamped (adjective) -- the state of being overwhelmed with work and activities, usually to the point of nearing a nervous breakdown (make up your own etymology for this one)
Word in a Sentence: In the Choices fantasy trilogy, Chariss is totally swamped with her duties protecting Master Rothahn, helping care for little Kaylin Taiman, readying an army to march on the enemy, building a strategy for said army, planning a wedding, finding a runaway newlywed couple, breaking the spell of a bad prophecy that's upset the balance of good versus evil in her world, convincing kings to join her instead of a mad sorcerer, etc.
