We, my daughter, the two little grandkids and I, stopped the other day and dined at an Oriental Restaurant fairly near home. It's a buffet type and I love it -get to try all kinds of things. When the young woman brought our check, there were four fortune cookies on the tray. Mine read that this Friday (today, the day just passed -whatever) would bring me good things and it was true. My fortune in life improved greatly as I located several items I wanted that were on sale -just for today!
And by the way Sandy - drop me a note some time -let me know how you're doing! I read Laura's blog too ya know!
Oh, but for the fame and fortune of glorious acceptance in the world of writers of great novels. That is why I create: for fame among many, and fortunes in gold to keep me and mine in the state of fine living so deserved.
Yeah, right. ;-)
Haven't played your vocabulary game before, but thanks for letting me.

Hey, Jan. Nice to have you participate! Some days the words are real bears and the "game" is more fun. Bwuahahahahaha.
I'm still looking for that "fortune" as well, my friend. One of these days...

Ah, Jeni,
I must locate your e-mail address. Give me time to look for it, forget what I'm doing in the e-mail folder, get distracted by the 1,400+ unread messages, get distracted by a request from someone, get distracted by a comment coming in on Nigel's blog, go respond there, remember to go ping this blog, and then remember I was supposed to look up your e-mail address...
Yes...it'll be later today.
:)
