This Week at The Dragon
Or…there’s something for every day
All you writers are in for a treat this week. There are all sorts of goodies here at The Dragon. First, I have a Grammar Guide for you this morning. Second, we’re focusing on Old English elements that inspire and influence writing sessions this week. Why? It’s a shameless attempt at promoting Choices Meant for Gods. You see, one of the questions I’ve been asked in an interview is what influenced me in writing the fantasy novel, and, I have to say, my Old English interest ranks pretty high up on the list of influences. So each Word of the Day this week ties to an Old English literature or Anglo-Saxon concept that is somehow used or reflected in Choices Meant for Gods, either blatantly or under one of the plotlines.
I also have a couple of announcements:
I’ll be appearing on the writers' blog http://authorsandwriters.blogspot.com tomorrow, April 10. If you have comments or questions, you can leave them on the blog and I’ll check in during the lunch hour and after work to get back to you.
I’ll also be conducting a live chat at 7 p.m. Eastern Standard Time tomorrow, April 10, at http://www.archebooks.com/Chat.htm. The theme of the chat is “Living in a Fantasy World.”
Choices Meant for Gods is still for sale:
You can still get your copy of Choices Meant for Gods at the publisher’s website at www.archebooks.com/BookIDX/Indexes/Fantasy/CMG/CMGsa.pdf (or just go to the homepage at www.archebooks.com and click around checking out all the nifty stuff).
The fantasy novel is also available at www.amazon.com where you can get it shipped for free because it’s a super saver right now.
I’m also on www.barnesandnoble.com and available through your local book store.
Last bit of business:
If you’re a writer with a book that has characters in it (yes, that’s meant to be silly), Henry Bakerson wants to interview your main character! You can check out his blog at http://friendsofdragons.wordpress.com or e-mail him at henry bakerson @ yahoo.com (no spaces) to get more information.
If you’re interested in learning more about me, the author, you can check out Nigel Taiman’s blog at http://sandylender.blogspot.com. The name of the blog is Nigel Presents Sandy Lender. Now, I do censor his posts from time to time, but, overall, it’s Nigel’s journal about me as an author. Feel free to give him feedback on what you do or don’t want to see there. I think he needs a little guidance…
Enjoy this week at The Dragon!
